The product
What does TrailersSafe verify at pickup?
That the driver physically arriving at the dock is the same driver the forwarder dispatched — not a substitute, not a sub-contracted carrier, not a stranger holding a forwarded BOL.
Who is TrailersSafe for?
Freight forwarders and brokers who dispatch loads to carrier drivers and want a verifiable record of who actually picked up the trailer.
Does the warehouse need an account?
No. Warehouses open a single-use verification link sent at pickup time. No signup, no install — they look at it and continue working the dock.
Do drivers need to download an app?
Drivers register and use TrailersSafe through any modern mobile browser. There is no required app install.
Where does TrailersSafe operate?
TrailersSafe serves freight forwarders in the United States. Pickup locations are supported anywhere a forwarder dispatches a load.
Pricing & billing
How much does TrailersSafe cost?
$3 per verified pickup, deducted from your prepaid balance the moment a load is dispatched to a driver. No monthly subscription. No seat fees. No minimums. See the pricing page for the full breakdown.
Is account creation free?
Yes. You only pay when you assign a pickup task to a specific driver.
Can I refund my unused prepaid balance?
Yes. Unused balance is refundable. Stripe's processing fees on the original top-up are deducted pro-rata from the refund amount.
What payment methods are accepted?
Credit and debit cards via Stripe Checkout.
Operations
Does TrailersSafe replace my TMS?
No. TrailersSafe is the pickup-handoff layer. You keep using whatever TMS, bookkeeping, or carrier-vetting tools you already have.
Do I need to integrate with carriers?
No. TrailersSafe works without asking the carrier to install software or change their dispatch process. The driver does what they already do — TrailersSafe runs in parallel.
What happens after I assign a task to a driver?
Once assigned, the task appears in your "Assigned Tasks" list, where you can see whether the driver has completed the pickup identity verification. After verification, the assigned driver is expected to report the pickup as completed or report an exception from their end. If neither is reported, the task stays in your "Assigned Tasks" list — your prompt to follow up with the carrier or driver.
What if connectivity is bad at the pickup location?
Verification requires a working data connection on the driver's phone. If signal is poor at the pickup site, the driver can connect to the warehouse Wi-Fi, or step outside the building to find a stronger cellular signal.
